Preview amarone 2006

In the article on the two days’ ( January 30th-31st, 2010) event that introduced the amarone 2006 “Everybody in line for the king of wines.And some come also from abroad” the newspaper L’Arena di Verona chooses only one cellar among the 66 partecipating for a short interview and a stolen photo. Many have been the new firms joining the two days, one of them the RUBINELLI VAJOL, headed by brothers Alberto and Renzo Rubinelli,introducing for the first time their amarone. “We created our label exactly in 2006. We have two
50 hl barrels, one for valpolicella classico superiore and the other for amarone, the only two wines we decided to produce”- told us the Rubinelli brothers, grandsons of Gaetano Rubinelli, the engineer who designed and built the Chievo Dam and bought the land on the hills between San Pietro Incariano and San Floriano, where the winery is located.
