IL SOMMELIER
In the June 2009 issue reviews the Rubinelli Vajol valpolicella classico superiore 2006 in this way: a month long drying enriches the nose with more mature notes of blackberry and cherry, still keeping its fragrancy. Nice spicy sensation of pepper, hints of cinnamon, with an original green character of boxwood and geranium. Important structure in the mouth along with a strong alchool degree that leads to attention since the problem with this wine is its pleasant drinkability, the slightly rough tannin and the savory after taste, making it an excellent companion of the table.
